ARS Montreal and Laval Chapters Celebrate ARS Day 2024
ՀՕՄ-ի «Սօսէ» եւ «Շուշի» մասնաճիւղերը նշեցին ՀՕՄ-ի օրը
Կազմակերպութեամբ ՀՕՄ-ի Մոնթրէալի «Սօսէ» եւ լաւալի «Շուշի» մասնաճիւղերուն, Կիրակի, 5 Մայիս 2024-ին, յետմիջօրէի ժամը 3:00-ին, Մոնթրէալի Սուրբ Յակոբ Ազգ. վարժարանի «Բաստրմաճեան» սրահէն ներս տեղի ունեցաւ ՀՕՄ-ի օրուան տօնակատարութիւն, հովանաւորութեամբ ՀՕՄ-ի Գանատայի Շրջանային վարչութեան, նախագահութեամբ Հայկօ Նահապետեանի, ներկայութեամբ Սուրբ Յակոբ Առաջնորդանիստ Մայր եկեղեցւոյ հոգեւոր հովիւ Արժ. Տ. Գառնիկ Ա. Քհն. Գոյունեանի, Ազգային Առաջնորդարանի ներկայացուցիչ Աննա Պուլկարեանի, Լաւալի Քաղաքապետարանի անդամ Սեդա Թօփուզեանի, ՀՕՄ-ի Կեդրոնական վարչութեան անդամ եւ Գանատայի շրջանի ներկայացուցիչ Արմինէ Կարապետեանի, ՀՕՄ-ի Շրջանային վարչութեան ատենապետ Լուսին Փալանճեանի եւ անդամներուն, ՀՅԴ Մոնթրէալի «Միհրան Փափազեան» եւ Լաւալի «Սարգիս Զէյթլեան» կոմիտէներու ներկայացուցիչներու, ՀՕՄ-ուհիներու, համակիրներու, բարերարներու եւ նուիրատուներու հոծ բազմութեան:
Ձեռնարկը բացուեցաւ Գանատայի, Հայաստանի, Արցախի եւ ՀՕՄ-ի քայլերգներով, որմէ ետք ներկաները մէկ վայրկեան յոտնկայս յարգեցին յիշատակը անցնող տարուան ընթացքին երկու մասնաճիւղերէն մեզմէ առյաւէտ բաժնուած ՀՕՄ-ուհիներուն:
Օրուան հանդիսավար Արազ Եաղճեան բացման խօսքով հանդէս եկաւ ըսելով. «Հաւաքուած ենք այսօր, միասնաբար նշելու ՀՕՄ-ի օրը, միաժամանակ յիշելու այս տարեշրջանին երկու մասնաճիւղերուն տարած ծաւալուն գործունէութիւնը, գնահատելու անդամներուն նուիրումը, ինչպէս նաեւ մեր բոլորին հոգիներուն մէջ ամրապնդելու ՀՕՄ-ի ծառայութեան ոգին։ Այս տարի եւս ազգովին ապրեցանք շատ դժուար օրեր, ըլլայ այդ Արցախի կորուստը եւ արցախահայութեան տեղահանութիւնը, հայրենիքի ապահովութիւնն ու ջաւախահայութեան գոյատեւմնան խոչընդոտները: Այս մարտահրաւէրները դիմագրաւելու նպատակով, ՀՕՄ-ի Մոնթրէալի եւ Լաւալի մասնաճիւղերը կազմակերպեցին մարդասիրական օժանդակութեան զանազան ծրագիրներ եւ կը շարունակեն անյապաղ գործել՝ լաւագոյն ձեւով հասնելու հայ ժողովուրդի բազմատեսակ պէտքերու գոհացման»: Ապա ան ներկայացուց օրուան նախագահ Հայկօ Նահապետեանի հակիրճ կենսագրականը եւ շնորհակալական խօսք ուղղեց անոր՝ ՀՕՄ-ի օրուան նախագահութիւնը ստանձնելուն առթիւ:
Անկէ ետք ՀՕՄ-ի Մոնթրէալի «Սօսէ» մասնաճիւղի ատենապետ Հուրի Զաքարեան եւ Լաւալի «Շուշի» մասնաճիւղի ատենապետ Ալին Հատիտեան ներկայացուցին զոյգ մասնաճիւղերուն 2023-2024 տարիներուն գործունէութեան զեկոյցը, զանոնք ցոլացնող նկարներու ցուցադրութեամբ: Անոնք անդրադարձան մասնաճիւղերուն ընկերային, դաստիարակչական, քարոզչական, մշակութային, մարդասիրական, կրթական եւ տնտեսական մարզերէն ներս ծաւալած ձեռնարկութեանց: Անոնք զեկոյցը աւարտեցին ըսելով. «Հայ Օգնութեան Միութեան անդամներ ըլլալ կը նշանակէ հասնիլ հայութեան, ուր որ անհարժեշտ է, ուր որ ալ ըլլայ՝ աշխարհի չորս ծագերուն մէջ։ Միութեանս միակ նպատակն է մեր ազգի զաւակներուն տալ հոգեկան, նիւթական եւ բարոյական աջակցութիւն»: Ապա զոյգ մասնաճիւղերուն եւ Շրջանային վարչութեան ատենապետներուն ձեռամբ, Սուրբ Յակոբ Ազգ. վարժարանի տարեկան յատկացումները յանձնուեցան Սուրբ Յակոբ եկեղեցւոյ հոգաբարձութեան ատենապետ Սարօ Տէր Պետրոսեանի:
Գեղարուեստական յայտագրով հանդէս եկան Համազգայինի Քեպէգի «Սանահին» մասնաճիւղի «Անի» պարախումբը՝ երկու պարով, որմէ ետք տեղի ունեցաւ զարդասեղներու տուչութիւն: 15-ամեայ անդամակցութեան զարդասեղ ստացան Մոնթրէալէն՝ Արփի Պալուզեան, Էլօ Տէր Մելքոնեան, Վալերին Յարութիւնեան եւ Ժանէթ Թումայեան, իսկ Լաւալէն՝ Անելկա Աշճեան, ձեռամբ զոյգ մասնաճիւղերու վարչութեանց ատենապետներուն: 25-ամեայ անդամակցութեան զարդասեղ ստացան Մոնթրէալէն՝ Վերօնիք Պաշբեհլիւան, Ծովինար Շահինեան, Մովսէս Քէօսէեան, Անահիտ Թադներեան, իսկ Լաւալէն՝ Սիլվա Էհրամճեան, Մարինա Տէր Խաչատուրեան, Հուրի Պետրոսեան եւ Մարօ Թորամանեան, ձեռամբ զոյգ մասնաճիւղերու վարչութեանց ատենապետներուն: 35-ամեայ զարդասեղ ստացան Մոնթրէալէն՝ Ալին Հաճէթեան, Նաթալի Հաճէթեան, Նայիրի Մանուկ, Սեդա Դանիէլեան, Վարդի Դանիէլեան, Անի Եաղըճեան, Լենա Քէօսէեան, Լենա Փափազեան, իսկ Լաւալէն՝ Սիւզի Պոյամեան, Լենա Խաչերեան, Ալպերա Սիուֆի եւ Նուարդ Թորոսեան, ձեռամբ ՀՕՄ-ի Շրջանային վարչութեան անդամներ Աստղիկ Խաշընձեանի եւ Վալերին Յարութիւնեանի: 50-ամեայ ծառայութեան զարդասեղներ ստացան Մոնթրէալէն՝ Աննա Պուլկարեան, Նեքթար Տէր Ղազարեան, Անի Գույումճեան, Սոնա Լիպարեան, Սեդա Մալխասեան, Անի Սարգիսեան եւ Անի Պէնօհանեան, որոնց կենսագրականները կարդացուելէն ետք իրենց փոխանցուեցան նաեւ գնահատագիրներ, ձեռամբ ՀՕՄ-ի Կեդրոնական Վարչութեան անդամ եւ Գանատայի Շրջանի ներկայացուցիչ Արմինէ Կարապետեանի եւ Շրջանային վարչութեան ատենապետ Լուսին Փալանճեանի:
Օրուան հանդիսավարին կողմէ ներկայացուեցաւ օրուան պատգամաբեր Սոնիա Սանան Քիլէճեան՝ գլխաւոր խմբագիր Համազգայինի պաշտօնաթերթ «Բագին» գրական պարբերականին: Քիլէճեան անդրադառնալով ՀՕՄ-ի ծառայասէր ու մարդասէր գործունէութեան ըսաւ. «Այս օրհնաբեր ձեռքերու ծառայասիրութիւնը կամ ծառայութիւնը, որ «Մարդուն մէջ աստուածային պատկերը կը վերականգնէ» Արամ Ա. վեհափառի բառերով, ոչ միայն մարդը կը մօտեցնէ Աստուծոյ, այսինքն` Աստուծոյ ընդմէջէն բարիի եւ ճշմարիտի կերպարին ու ետ կը մղէ զինք չարագործութենէ, բացասականութենէ, մեծամտութենէ, այլ առաջին հերթին կը վերանորոգէ եւ կը վերակենդանացնէ անհատին մէջ պահուըտած եսը, կը բանայ այդ եսը դէպի ուրիշը, միւսը, այլը, կը միացնէ մարդը` մարդուն, եւ ամենակարեւորը, ամենաէականը` կը շաղկապէ մարդը մարդկայինին, ու այդ շաղկապումին, միացումին մէջ է, որ կը ծլին եւ կը ծաղկին անհատին ձգտումը՝ դէպի համամարդակային արժէքներ ու զանոնք իւրացնելու, սկզբունքի վերածելու եւ տարածելու մղումը»:
Ան նաեւ կարեւորութեամբ շեշտեց ազգային արժէքներու պահպանումը ըսելով. «Որպէս կամաւոր աշխատանքի ջահակիրներ, ըլլանք նաեւ հայերէնը տարածող եւ ապրեցնող կամաւորներ, առանց կասկածի ու երկմտանքի, առանց թերահաւատութեան, կամաւորաբար ինչպէս վերը նշեցի, մեր զաւակները առաջնորդելով դէպի մայրենիին անդաստանը, դէպի հայկական վարժարան, Հայ կեդրոն, որպէսզի Օգնութեան Միութեան “Հայ”ը արժանաւորապէս արժեւորենք, լեզուն եւ մեր ազգը որբ չձգելու ու անկէ որբ չմնալու կամաւոր որոշումով», ապա ան խօսքը եզրափակեց ըսելով. «Անշուշտ, մեր միութենական բոլոր յանձնառութիւնները եւ առաջնահերթութիւնները գործի վերածելու եւ իմաստաւորելու համար հարկ է նաեւ որդեգրել մասնագիտական մօտեցում, որուն հիմքը պէտք է ըլլայ քննական միտքը, միջոցը` տրամաբանական մտածողութիւնը, ուսումնասիրող, պրպտող, զննող, պատճառաբանող անհատականութիւնը, որ նաեւ կը մերժէ “մէկը չնեղացնեմ”ի սկզբունքով առաջնորդուող եւ նախապաշարումներով քարացած կարծրատիպերը, բարեկամին, ծանօթին հաճոյակատար դառնալու խեղճ անհատականութիւնները եւ ինքնասէր ու շահադիտական ծրագիրներ ու որոշումներ հետապնդողները»:
Անկէ ետք բեմ հրաւիրուեցան զոյգ մասնաճիւղերուն նորագիր անդամները Մոնթրէալէն՝ Թալին Մելիք, Քամի Ունանեան, Սանան Տարագճեան, Թամարա Տէր Պետրոսեան, Վանէ Տիմիթեան, Ալիք Մարգարեան, Քաթիա Մարգարեան, Սեդա Թիւֆէնքճեան եւ Էմմա Թիւթիւնճեան, իսկ Լաւալէն՝ Սիլվա Թութիկեան, Կարին Գասապեան, Ալիք Հատիտեան, Թալին Տամիրճեան, Թամար Կէօտէլէքեան, Լիզա Գարաճեան եւ Արեգ Գուշեան, կատարելու ՀՕՄ-ի երդման արարողութիւնը, գլխաւորութեամբ Շրջանային վարչութեան ատենապետ Լուսին Փալանճեանի:
Ձեռնարկը աւարտեցաւ հանդիսավարին շնորհակալական խօսքով, որմէ ետք տեղի ունեցաւ պատշաճ հիւրասիրութիւն:

«Հորիզոն»
On Sunday May 5th, 2024, “HOM DAY” was organized by the joint efforts of ARS Montreal “Sosse” chapter and the ARS Laval “Shoushi” chapter. The event started at 3:00 pm at L’École Arménienne Sourp Hagop in the Pastermadjian Auditorium in Montreal, Quebec. The occasion was presided over by the Presidency of Engerouhi Haigo Nahabedian in the presence of Pastor Archpriest Karnig Koyounian, along with representative from the Armenian Prelacy of Canada Engerouhie Anna Boulgarian. Member of Laval City Council Eng. Seta Topouzian. Central Board member Engerouhie Armine Karabetian along with ARS National Board Chairperson Engerouhie Loucine Palanjian with fellow members of the National Commitee; Eng. Astrig Khatchentsian, Eng. Christine Hekimian, Eng. Valerine Haroutiunian, and Eng. Arpy Sanosian. Also present were representatives of Montreal’s ARF “Mihran Papazian” and Laval’s “Sarkis Zeitlian” as well representatives from both Montreal and Laval sister organizations, benefactors and guests.
The event commenced by the singing of the Canadian, Armenian, Artsakh and the ARS national anthems followed by a moment of silence in remembrance of all those who departed in the past year.
The master of ceremony for the day was engerouhie Araz Yaghjian. She welcomed all in attendance. “We are gathered today to mark HOM’s day, to remember simultaneously the events of this period, to evaluate the activity of Montreal and Laval chapters, to express gratitude to members, as well as to instill the spirit of HOM’s service in all of us.” “This year we lived through very difficult days, witnessing the crisis in Artsakh, the displacement of Armenians, the challenges of homeland security, and the pain of the diaspora and homeland’s losses.” She continued to say, “In order to cope with these challenges, HOM’s Montreal and Laval, chapters organized humanitarian aid and continued to work tirelessly to reach the hearts of the Armenian people, acknowledging the various needs of the community.”
Engerouhie Araz introduced the events President Eng. Haigo Nahabedian’s biography and thanked her for accepting the honour of the presidency for the event.
Then, representatives of HOM’s Montreal “Sosse” chapter, Houri Zakarian, and Laval’s “Shoushi” chapter, Aline Hadidian presented a comprehensive, detailed and thorough report on the activities and events of the two branches during the year 2023-2024. Their presentation was shown through a PowerPoint slide show featuring compelling images with pictures and flyers of all the events that took place during their term. They emphasized the multifaceted activities of the branches, including educational, cultural, charitable, artistic, and humanitarian initiatives. It was noted that a percentage of most of the event’s funds raised went directly to the displaced people of Artsakh. As they concluded their part in presenting final numbers and contributions made by the two branches they were hugely applauded for the significant work and accomplishments. The two branches collectively contributed $346.031 to all its humanitarian
response system and aided all its sister committees and benefactors though their generation donations.
The two representatives along with ARS Canada chairperson Eng. Loucine Palanjian presented a cheque of $98,000 to Sourp Hagop Board of Trustee Chairperson Ung. Saro Der Bedrossian for L’Ecole Arménienne Sourp Hagop. The generous donation by both chapters also received applause and gratitude from all in attendance.
The artistic part of the program was presented by the Hamazkayin Quebec “Sanahin” chapter of the “Ani” dance group performed two folklore dances.
Eng. Araz then invited to stage one a time “homouhis” who gave and dedicated their time and years of service of 15, 25, 35 and 50 years to receive their decorative breastpins.
The following people received their breastpins of 15 years of volunteering at ARS Montreal from their respected representatives: Eng. Arpi Balouzian, Eng. Elo Der Melkonian, Eng. Valerine Haroutuinian and Eng. Janet Toumaian for ARS Laval Eng. Anelga Achdjian.
Engerouhis that received their breastpins for 25 years of service for ARS Montreal Eng. Veronique Bashpelvian, Eng. Zovinar Shahinian, Ung. Movses Keusseyan, Eng. Anahid Tatnerian, and from Laval Eng. Sylva Ehramadjian, Eng. Marina Der Khatchadourian, Eng. Houry Bedrosian and Eng. Maro Toramanian.
Engerouhis that received their breastpins for 35 years of service for ARS Montreal Eng. Aline Hadjetian, Eng. Nathalie Hadjetian, Eng. Nairy Manoug, Eng. Seta Tanielian, Eng. Lena Keusseyan, Eng. Varti Tanielian, Eng. Ani Yaghjian, Eng. Lena Papazian and from ARS Laval Eng. Suzy Boyamian, Eng. Lena Khatcherian, Eng. Albera Sioufi and Eng. Nvart Torosian.
The final breastpins of 50 years of dedication, commitment and devotion in volunteering all had their biographies read (only those in attendance) and received a congratulatory letter from ARS Central Board which was read by Eng. Armine Karabetian. The following homouhi’s were all from Montreal; Eng. Anna Boulgarian, Eng. Nectar Der Ghazarian, Eng. Ani Kouyoumdjian, Eng. Sona Libarian, Eng. Seta Malkhassian, Eng. Ani Sarkissian and Eng. Ani Benohanian.
The speaker of the day, Sonia Sanan Kilejian, editor-in-chief of Hamakayin’s official newspaper “Pakin” literary periodical was introduced by Eng. Araz.
Eng. Sonia referred to HOM as the service loving and philanthropic activities of ARS. “The servitude or service of these glorifying hands that restores the divine image in man.”
She also emphasized the importance of preserving national values saying, “As torchbearers of voluntary work , let us also be volunteers who spread and live the Armenian language without doubt and hesitation, without disbelief voluntary as i mentioned above , leading our children to the homeland to the Armenian school, to the Armenian center so that we value the “Armenian “and not to make our language and nation an orphan and not to remain an orphan from here.” She continued to say, “Of course, in order to turn all the work of ARS’s responsibilities and priorities into action and make them meaningful, it is also necessary to adopt a professional approach, the basis of which should be the investigative mind, the means of logical thinking, one who educates, learns, examines and reasons.”
As the program concluded, new ARS members from both chapters were called on stage one at a time, to give their oath of allegiance and commitment to ARS. From Montreal, they were Taline Melik, Kami Ounanian, Sanan Zeytlian, Tamara Der Bedrossian, Vane Dimitian, Alik Markarian, Katia Markarian, Seda Tufenkjian, Emma Tutunjian and Caroline Jerjian. From Laval, they were Silva Toutikian, Garin Kassabian, Alik Hadidian, Taline Damirdjian, and Arek Koushian.
The event closed with the MC’s final words thanking all those in attendance for their on-going support and commitment and were all welcome to enjoy the reception of coffee and sweets.
