SPONSOR A CHILD
Children Sponsored by ARS Canada
Objectives
Support and shelter every child in need in Armenia.
The ARS “Sponsor-A-Child” Program was established in 1988 with the initiative of the ARS Central Executive Board, following the earthquake in Armenia and expanded as a result of the armed struggle in Artsakh (Karabagh).
It is the desire and cherished goal of the Armenian Relief Society, that not a single child in our Homeland be allowed to remain without support and shelter, and that all individuals enjoy the blessings of family and home, in peace and security.
Today, with the active participation of ARS regional entities, more than 6,000 parentless children in the homeland receive an annual sum of $300 US each, provided by volunteer sponsors, who additionally donate 30.00 USD to the ARS Central Executive to cover the on-going administrative costs of the project. To make this possible, all those who care to give their moral and financial support, can do so by getting in touch with their local – or nearest – ARS office.

Present sponsors are encouraged to continue their contributions, until their orphans? graduation from an institution of higher learning.
To sponsor an orphan student after the age of 18, 320.00 USD per year.
